About Donna Payne

Donna Payne is a recognized expert in IT, with specialization in legal software and technology. Payne speaks about privacy concerns, metadata, STEM, personal branding, marketing and leadership. She has keynoted at conferences, spoken to Congress and presented for government and security agencies worldwide. Donna authored and co-authored on 13 books on technology and is working on her first non-computer related book.

 

Donna founded PayneGroup, which she sold in November 2019. Her recognitions and awards include the American Bar Association Top 20 Women in Law (2020), International Legal Technology Association Lifetime Achievement Award (2019), Thought Leader of the Year award (2013), Lex Proficio Lifetime Achievement award from ABA TechShow and Law Technology News magazine’s Inaugural Consultant of the Year.  She was the first woman MVP for Excel and one of the first six to be recognized by Microsoft.

Before starting PayneGroup, Donna worked in government, telecom, Fortune 500 and even did a stint as a rock and roll singer.
