We are meeting in person at Akin Gump (Photo ID, proof of vaccination, bags will be screened, short check-in form) and virtually on Zoom (link provided to registrants)

Even before the pandemic we had not cracked the code for consistent learner engagement. Now we are charged with providing training options that fit into a new version of the workday and workspace. Classroom and online training are so 2019. 2022 is all about hybrid, blended, and mobile-first.

So the places and spaces may look very different but the original question remains: How do we engage them and ensure effective learning outcomes? What do we even mean by engagement?

Valary Oleinik will help us get some clues from our fellow content creators in the marketing, social media, and game design fields. In this interactive, collaborative, and yes, hybrid session, we will explore four categories of engagement: cognitive, behavioral, emotional, and social. Along the way we will play with some new tools that can help capture and maintain people’s attention and curiosity.
